For off-road enthusiasts and those who need a robust vehicle for everyday use on challenging terrain, Arctic Trucks presents the new Toyota Land Cruiser 250/Prado AT37. This machine is designed to push limits, combining legendary Toyota reliability with Icelandic expertise in extreme expedition vehicles.
A Longstanding Partnership with Toyota
Although Arctic Trucks works with various automakers, its history began as a special division of Toyota. The Land Cruiser AT37 represents a return to its roots, showcasing the company’s ability to transform Toyota vehicles into true explorers. Arctic Trucks’ reputation is built on robust projects, such as the Hilux and the Nissan Patrol, and even a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter modified for maximum off-road performance.
AT37: Specifications That Impress on Any Terrain
The name AT37 already highlights one of the features: 37-inch BFGoodrich tires, available in all-terrain T/A KO3 or mud-terrain T/A KM3 versions. These tires are mounted on 17-inch forged alloy wheels with a retro “Heritage” design. The R53 suspension, developed by Dakar specialists, raises the vehicle by 40mm (1.57 inches) and increases the travel, with adjustable shock absorbers to optimize driving in any situation.
To support the changes, the AT37 underwent a complete re-engineering, from the chassis to the transmission. The track width was widened and the wheelbase extended, ensuring greater stability and off-road capability. Details such as fender flares with tire pressure information and a 2-inch multifunctional rear hitch demonstrate Arctic Trucks’ attention to detail.
Functional Interior and Focused on the Off-Road Experience
Inside, the Land Cruiser AT37 maintains the original Toyota design, with a focus on functionality. Changes include a different gear selector and Arctic Trucks badges. As Tom Ford from Top Gear rightly noted, the interior is not the main attraction of this vehicle, but rather its unparalleled off-road capability.
Global Availability and Flexible Purchase Options
Developed in collaboration between teams in Iceland, the UK, and the Toyota CFAO Africa distributor, the Land Cruiser AT37 will be offered globally through the Arctic Trucks network in Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Africa. The AT37 conversion can be purchased from the second quarter of this year, directly from dealerships or by converting your own vehicle.
In the US, the conversion kit starts at $19,749, not including the cost of the base Land Cruiser. Arctic Trucks offers flexibility, allowing the customer to provide their own Land Cruiser, new or used, or the company can acquire one. With several dealers available, Arctic Trucks facilitates access to this exceptional off-road machine.
