Mercedes-AMG SL63 Golden Coast: Golden Exclusivity Limited to 100 Units

Mercedes-AMG has just raised the bar for luxury cars with the launch of the SL63 Manufaktur Golden Coast, a roadster that combines exclusivity, nature-inspired design, and high-level performance. Limited to just 100 units worldwide, this model is already arriving at US dealerships and promises to be one of the most coveted cars of 2025.

Design Inspired by Golden Coast Beaches

The SL63 Golden Coast is an homage to the beaches of the American West Coast. The Kalahari Gold Magno color, exclusive to Manufaktur, dominates the bodywork with a metallic tone reminiscent of golden sand illuminated by the sun. The look is complemented by 21-inch matte black wheels with accents in the same gold tone, as well as black brake calipers with white AMG logos.

To reinforce the sporty appeal, the model includes standard packages such as the AMG Night Package, Extended Night Package, and Aerodynamics Package, with elements in high-gloss black and darkened chrome on the grille, exhausts, and rear star. The combination of gold and black creates a sophisticated contrast, ensuring the car is noticed in any setting.

Interior: Craftsmanship with a Golden Touch

Inside the SL63 Golden Coast, luxury is meticulously detailed. The AMG Performance seats are upholstered in black Nappa leather with gold diamond stitching, a pattern that extends to the steering wheel, door panels, and center console.

Kalahari Gold Magno accents appear on the door details, seats, and console, while the high-pile floor mats feature embroidery with the AMG logo and contrasting stitching. The finishing touch is an exclusive “MANUFAKTUR Golden Coast” badge on the console, reminding occupants that they are in one of the most exclusive roadsters in the world.

Performance That Accelerates Hearts

Under the hood, the SL63 Golden Coast retains the heart of the standard version: a 4.0L V8 biturbo engine with 577 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. Combined with the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G transmission and 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system, the roadster accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds (0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds).

Despite not bringing mechanical changes compared to the conventional SL63, the Golden Coast edition reinforces its premium character by including items that would normally be optional, such as the aerodynamics and lighting packages.

Exclusivity Beyond Color

The limitation to 100 global units is the biggest attraction for collectors. Although the official price has not been disclosed, the Golden Coast is expected to cost significantly more than the standard SL63 (which starts at US$ 180,000).

Mercedes-AMG’s strategy with Manufaktur editions, such as the Big Sur (2023) and now the Golden Coast, is clear: to offer extreme personalization for customers seeking something unique. And, with only two models launched in 18 months, the brand reinforces its commitment to exclusivity.

Availability and Market

The first examples of the SL63 Golden Coast are already arriving at US dealerships starting in February 2025. Despite being a global model, the expectation is that most units will be destined for the American market, where the appeal for limited edition cars is especially strong.

The Mercedes-AMG SL63 Golden Coast is not just a car — it is a statement of style and status. With a tiny production run, nature-inspired design, and supercar performance, it embodies the ultimate in automotive personalization. For those seeking a roadster that combines art and engineering, this edition is, without a doubt, the definitive choice.
