Yangwang is a Chinese luxury automotive brand owned by BYD Auto, officially launched in January 2023. Based in China, it operates in the premium segment (above ¥1 million, roughly US$ 140,000), aiming to compete with European brands. Yangwang is notable for its innovative technologies such as the e⁴ individual wheel drive platform and the DiSus active suspension system. Its initial models include the U8 plug-in hybrid SUV (capable of floating, with individual-wheel drive and up to 1,100 hp), the U9 electric supercar with suspension that can “jump” or drive on three wheels, and the luxury U7 sedan launched in 2025. Renowned for bold design and advanced engineering, the brand has already opened showrooms in China and plans future expansion.
