The 2026 Cadillac Optiq-V emerges as a high-performance version of the brand’s new entry-level electric SUV, targeting an audience seeking performance and exclusivity. Equipped with two electric motors that produce 519 horsepower and 649 lb-ft of torque, the model promises acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds, putting it in direct competition with renowned sports cars.
Its foundation is GM’s Ultium platform, with an 85 kWh battery that provides an estimated range of 275 miles. Although efficient for daily use, its range is not the highest in the segment. The interior is a showcase of technology and luxury, highlighted by a massive 33-inch 9K resolution screen, the Super Cruise™ semi-autonomous driving system, and high-quality finishes like carbon fiber.
Priced from $68,795 in the U.S., the Optiq-V positions itself as a premium luxury SUV. However, its arrival in Brazil is uncertain and, if it does happen, the price will be significantly higher due to taxes and market strategies, generating great expectation and uncertainty among Brazilian consumers.
